We recently planned a trip and here's everything I have to share.
Hey there! I'm Vanshika 👋 and I just got back from the most magical 5-day trip to the Andaman Islands with my boyfriend. It was our first proper vacation together — and honestly, it felt like a dream. Crystal-clear water, white sand beaches, candlelight dinners by the sea… I mean, come on! 😍
But before we booked everything, I did a LOT of research to figure out how much our Andaman trip would cost for two people. Now that we’re back (and already missing it 😭), I wanted to share exactly how much we spent, what we splurged on, what we skipped, and how you can plan a perfect Andaman trip for your partner without breaking the bank.
Andaman Trip Cost Comparison for Couples (5 Days / 4 Nights)
I also made an estimate of what different tiers would look like.

✈️ 1. Flight Cost: Getting to Port Blair
We flew from Mumbai to Port Blair (the main airport in Andaman). Our round-trip tickets for two people cost us ₹24,000 total.
We booked through Google Flights and set price alerts like 2 months in advance. If you're flying from Chennai or Kolkata, it’s even cheaper — like under ₹15,000 for two!
🎒 Quick Tip: Try to fly in the early morning or late night to get the best rates.
🛏️ 2. Where We Stayed: Budget + Boujee Combo
We wanted something cute and cozy for our stay — so we split our time like this:
2 nights in Havelock at Symphony Palms Beach Resort – ₹4,500 per night
1 night in Neil Island at a budget cottage – ₹2,200
1 night in Port Blair at a decent hotel – ₹2,800
So total for 4 nights: ₹14,000 approx (for both of us). Honestly, Havelock was worth every rupee. We even got a room with a hammock outside 💕.
If you're going on your honeymoon or want to go full luxury, places like SeaShell Havelock or Barefoot are amazing but expect to pay ₹8k+ per night.
🚢 3. Inter-Island Travel: Ferries & Adventure
You’ll need ferries to go from Port Blair → Havelock → Neil Island → back.
We booked everything online via Makruzz (super smooth experience). Here's what we paid:
Port Blair → Havelock: ₹3,600 (for two)
Havelock → Neil Island: ₹2,000
Neil → Port Blair: ₹2,200
Total: ₹7,800 for ferries(We could’ve saved a bit using government ferries, but we didn’t want to risk delays.)
🍛 4. Food & Drinks: Seafood, Smoothies & Sweet Cravings
I have only one thing to say — EAT ALL THE SEAFOOD YOU CAN in Andaman. My boyfriend went crazy for grilled lobster at New Lighthouse Restaurant in Port Blair (₹800). We had some really cute café dates at Full Moon Café in Havelock and Fat Martin’s (a must-visit!).
Our food budget looked like this:
Daily Breakfast: Mostly included in hotel
Lunch: ₹600–₹900
Dinner: ₹1,000–₹1,500 (including drinks/dessert)
Total for 5 days: Around ₹6,500 – ₹7,000 for both of us
🧋 PS: Coconut water and fruit smoothies are SO refreshing there.
🏝️ 5. Activities We Did (And Loved!)
This is where Andaman truly shines. We did a mix of chill + thrill.
Our favourite experiences:
Scuba Diving at Havelock: ₹7,000 for both (our first time!) 🐠
Snorkeling at North Bay Island: ₹1,500
Glass Bottom Boat: ₹2,000 (great if you don’t dive)
Candlelight Beach Dinner: ₹3,000 – the most romantic night ever 💗
Cellular Jail Light Show: ₹300 – super historical and moving
Total for activities: ₹13,000 approx
If you’re into adventure sports, there’s also sea walking, parasailing, jet skiing… the list is endless!
👉 We booked most of our activities through Thrillophilia.
🛵 6. Local Travel: Cabs, Scooters & Walks on the Beach
We rented a scooter on Havelock for ₹600/day – so fun and easy!
Scooter for 2 days: ₹1,200
Auto rides in Port Blair: ₹400
Cab to airport: ₹500
Total local transport: ₹2,100
🚨 Don’t rely too much on mobile data though — some areas had no signal (Airtel was better than Jio for us).
🧾 7. Total Andaman Trip Cost for Us (5 Days, 2 People)
Here’s a quick breakdown of what we spent overall:
Expense | Amount (₹) |
Flights | 24,000 |
Hotels | 14,000 |
Ferries | 7,800 |
Food | 7,000 |
Activities | 13,000 |
Local Transport | 2,100 |
Total | ₹67,900 ✅ |
We went mid-range — not too luxury, but not backpacker style either. You could easily do it under ₹55,000 or go luxe and spend over ₹1 lakh — totally up to you!
📝 Our 5-Day Andaman Itinerary

💡 My Personal Tips for Couples Going to Andaman
Book ferries in advance – they get filled up super fast!
Carry cash – many places don’t accept cards or UPI.
Choose either Havelock or Neil if you’re short on time.
Go scuba diving — even if you're nervous (trust me, it’s worth it).
Don’t overpack! I basically lived in swimwear, flowy dresses & flip-flops.
